6 Red Hot Tips to Writing Better Articles, Part II
3) Use short paragraphs. Long paragraphs are difficult to read on a computer monitor. Use spacing between each paragraph. When possible, use justified text alignment. Keep lots of clean space on the page to make it easier to read.
4) Make use of numbers or bullets. Use indentations to format bullets and numbers so that the points stand out. This helps maintain clean space while adding interest to the shape of the text on the page.
5) Try using sub-headings to divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this helps the reader break each section into points while maintaining the cohesiveness of the article. It also makes it easy for the reader to review the main points of the article. Additionally, it provides direction and flow to your article.
6) Add visual appeal by creating text charts and graphs. When reasonable, use concrete numbers and state sources of information. Use these items sparingly to achieve the greatest impact. Remember to keep the article readable!
