Article Submission

Now that you have written your article, it is time to submit it to various article directories.  There are many article directories that are free to all.  Be sure to include a link directly to your sales page in every article you submit.

Article submission can provide long-term visibility for your business.

If you have a web site, find a way to mention your website in a sentence in the concluding paragraph.  This article works as both a free advertisement and as free web site promotion.

When you get the hang of article submission, you may find quite a few sites where you wish to submit articles.  There are a variety of article submitter programs, many free, which will submit one article to multiple sites.  These may help you save time doing multiple submissions.

Writing Articles

Writing or acquiring articles that provide solid information regarding your business is one of the best ways to perpetuate free advertising.

Many sites offer free keyword tools which can help you find keywords and phrases to produce more traffic to your website.  Look up keywords related to your product or service.  Which keywords are used most?  Make sure you use these keywords in your article.

Make your articles readable and informative.  If the article is relevant to the topic, more visitors will stay to read it.  This can help you get visitors to your sales pages who subsequently may become clients.

Classified Advertising Venues

Online newspapers, online advertising sites, and sites with products related to your focus offer ways to leave text and graphic ads for a specified length of time.

Newsletters and ezines are more fleeting but used repetitively may result in frequent exposure of your product or service.

Ad sizes start with a few words or single line and theoretically have no limit.  There are many resources offering free ads.  You might get larger ads, ads that run more frequently or targeted exposure by paying for advertising.

To that end, it is time to learn a little about several marketing methods.  Let’s start with the main long-term tried and true methods.

Effective Affiliate Marketing

Whether you are paying for advertising or using free resources, it is important to make sure the people who see your ads are people who will buy your products and services.

Consider your marketing focus.  Who is most likely to be interested in buying your product or service?  Are there other names they might refer to the product as?  What similar or related products also interest them?

Once you have identified your audience, you can look for classified advertising venues that circulate amongst this audience.  This is called targeting your advertising, and is an important part of a marketing campaign.

Look for similar or related sites that interest your audience.  They might give you ideas for marketing your product, might be a place you can advertise your product or service, and they may be willing to link to your site.

What is an Affiliate Marketing Campaign?

An affiliate marketing campaign is a series of actions you will take in order to sell the product or service you have chosen as your current focus.

The first and foremost goal of a marketing campaign is to sell your product or service (or gain affiliate sign ups).  One of the best ways to do this is advertising using a variety of methods.

Some of the many methods employed include classified advertising, article submissions, blogging, banner ads, pay-per-click, video ads, forum posts, and offline advertising.

The cost of advertising ranges from free to as much as you are willing to spend.  Paying for advertising may produce faster results, but effective ad campaigns can be conducted for free.  You will need to determine a cash budget and a time budget when constructing your marketing campaign.
