1) Choose a niche that is evergreen
These are just a few examples of evergreen
niches:
Weight Loss
Dog training
Pet health
Acne cures
Curing romantic woes
Saving money
Debt Consolidation
Avoiding foreclosure
Fitness
Parenting
Fertility
Making money online
Driving targeted traffic to websites
Pick just one to start with; if
you like your results, you can come back and pick a different
one to work with in your next marketing campaign.
2) Identify demand and profitability based on existing competition
Take down notes of possible products in niche markets that look
interesting to you. If you believe the products you are promoting
are worthwhile, it will be much easier for you to market them.
Search related forums, groups and blogs to find out if lots of people are
interested in the same area or product. How big is the market for
the type of products you are looking at? What is currently popular
and in demand?
Next, investigate keywords to determine how much competition is in the
marketplace. You can also learn how many searches take place each month for
specific keyword phrases, helping you find the high traffic phrases.
You want the most popular products, and when possible, the lowest level
of competition for those products.
Google is still
the biggest giant of all in terms of search engines, so you will want to
make an account with them for
AdWords.
You are not required to use your
AdWords account
for advertising, and you will find the research tools invaluable no
matter what type of internet marketing you choose to do.
